If you have TSA precheck you don’t need to remove your toiletries from your carry on bag when going through security. Honestly though before I had precheck I still always carried my toiletries in a regular makeup bag and didn’t have a problem. I think it depends on the airport and airline– some are much more lax about it than others.

I haven’t ever been scolded in a U.S. airport however internationally, yes I’ve been told a few times to put everything in a quart sized bag. That’s another reason why I try to only bring small sample sized beauty products because if I did have to change bags or throw something out it wouldn’t be a huge deal. I think having TSA precheck helps because they don’t do such a deep dive into your carry-on.

For bigger trips that’s exactly what Nick and I try to do! Don’t stress– you can do it! xo

Not sure if I’m reading your comment correctly, but regardless of the size of your toiletry bag, all liquids being carried on have to be in a quart size, clear bag that seals. That bag then has to be taken out of your larger bag when going through security.

The last time I used mine for flight I got yelled at by 2 agents for it using the quart size bag. The next time I used a bag barely bigger than the ziploc quart size and they took stuff from me. Dying to know how you get around this issue!!
