Madewell Knit Minidress

Now that my birthday is over and we’re about halfway through September: I am ready to embrace fall. It looks like the season is coming a little earlier than usual. I swear last year it was hot up until Halloween. Well, I’m not complaining and I’m actually looking forward to unpacking all my sweaters, vests, and outerwear out of storage this week.

Even though I haven’t transitioned my closet from summer to fall yet, I’ve been making some small changes to my wardrobe. One example is adding this Madewell mini dress to my weekly rotation. The stretchy knit fabric is much warmer than the silky sundresses I wore all summer.

Two accessories that have been on heavy repeat: my new shoulder bag and this kate spade new york leather strap watch!

Since this dress is quite the curve hugger (I actually look like I have some!!) I paired it with classic flat sneakers. Tight dresses, even ones that are casual like this, can look a little over-the-top with heels so I went the comfortable and conservative route. Guys, I highly recommend getting a pair or two of Adidas sneakers— I wear mine everywhere and the price points are very affordable.

One last thing before I leave you guys to rock out your Wednesday: Madewell new arrivals. A ton just hit Nordstrom.com and I’m obsessed. There’s so much good stuff and the best part is most things won’t put a heavy dent in your wallet. On my Madewell wishlist? This raw hem denim skirt and this oversized cardigan that comes in 5 colors. Talk about tempting…
