Harvest Moon Farm is basically party of my family and I’m deeply saddened and upset to hear that you had an “unimpressive” experience there. Harvest Moon does an OUTSTANDING job of catering to all types of customers and visitors. From families, toyoung couples, there are activities for all.

Also, on a side note: this is a family-run business, and the entire family works on the farm and treat their fellow employees as part of their family.

Everything is locally grown, and their homemade Hardscrabble Cider is the BEST cider I’ve ever had in my life.

I hope you reconsider and visit the farm again.

You have to check out Warwick Valley Winery. Its such a great vibe and has the BEST food along with apple picking. Make sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair as it gets packed in the fall.

Hey Katie, love your recommendations and the food pics look yummy. I totally agree about the overly commercialized farms/orchards closer to the city. Thanks to your blog I am now craving an apple pie.
