Across the Brooklyn Bridge + A LOVEly Giveaway
I was wearing…
The weather was beautiful yesterday afternoon so Nick and I decided to take a walk over to Brooklyn via the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s been on my bucket list for a while now, along with exploring Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights. Needless to say the views were spectacular – the waterfront area in Dumbo has so many cool eateries, walking paths and stores. We were hungry after our walk so we split a pizza pie and finished off with some homemade ice ream from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. So yummy!
On hot days I like to keep my jewelry minimal. This gold arrow necklace from Miriam Merenfeld is the perfect accessory because it’s small, dainty and feminine. It’s definitely a piece I can see myself wearing everyday and I love the inscription. Miriam Merenfeld is gifting one of these same necklaces ($150 value) to a Katie’s Bliss reader.     My favorite go to summer look? That is tricky because of how hot it is in the desert. I like to wear tanks mostly with shorts…but the tanks have to be flowy and usually racer-back. But I do love wearing maxi dresses or jumpers too.

    So glad to see the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory is back up and running! That is such a great area. When I was in NYC a few months ago it was still undergoing repairs from Sandy.
    My go-to summer outfit: crisp white button-down shirts tied at the waist, colorful flowing skirts, and flats or sandal wedges with rope or wood detail on the heel!

    I typically enjoy bold statement necklaces, but this dainty one is perfect! (I agree about minimal jewelry on hot days!)
