GO-TO BODY MOISTURIZERS + STRETCH MARK PRODUCTS // Mutha Body Oil | Mutha Body Butter | Kate McLeod Mama Stone | Necessaire The Body Lotion | KORRES Sea Lavender Body Butter | Mustela Nursing Comfort Balm | Mustela Stretch Marks Cream | Mustela Stretch Marks Serum
Let’s talk body care! Prior to my pregnancy I was never that picky with body lotions. Pretty much my only criteria was that a product had to be super moisturizing as I’ve always struggled with dry skin. After I found out I was pregnant I started paying more attention to ingredients and decided to ditch any fragrance-filled lotions in favor of products with cleaner, non-toxic ingredients. Then once my bump started making an appearance back in March, I added a few oils and balms to my routine to help keep any potential stretch marks at bay.

BODY MOISTURIZERS // Mutha Body Oil | Mutha Body Butter
When I mentioned on Instagram that I was looking for stretch mark cream recommendations, Mutha products came highly recommended! So far I’ve tried the body oil and body butter and really love both! I’ve primarily been using the body oil solely on my belly, hips, thighs and boobs to prevent stretch marks. It’s formulated with 100% organic botanical oils, packed with vitamins, absorbs fast, helps prevent fine lines and is safe for sensitive skin types.

The body butter is SO decadent and thick. To apply I take a glob in the palm of my hands and massage it– basically warming it up so the consistency turns more lotion-like. I’ll use this on dry days when I feel my skin could use some an extra hydrating treat– especially my elbows and knees! The ingredients are also 100% natural and formulated to help fade and prevent stretch marks. Both this and the Mutha body oil smell AMAZING too.

STRETCH MARK PRODUCTS // Mustela Stretch Marks Cream | Mustela Stretch Marks Oil
Mustela is another maternity beauty brand that many people recommended to me. They have a wide range of products that are all budget-friendly and can be shopped on Amazon! So far I’ve been using the Stretch Marks Cream and Stretch Marks Oil on my belly, hips, thighs and boobs. Both are formulated with 100% natural ingredients, free of parabens or any other nasty additives and can help prevent/fade stretch marks.
I tend to use the oil when I know I have a little bit more time to get ready since I’ve found it needs a few minutes to absorb. Even though it says fragrance-free it does have a slight scent, which I personally don’t mind, however I don’t think it’s a scent that everyone would love. In contrast, the Stretch Marks Cream is very much unscented and absorbs faster than the oil–so if those are two factors you’re looking for I’d opt for the cream instead.

POST-PREGNANCY PRODUCTS // Mustela Nursing Comfort Balm | Mustela Stretch Marks Serum
I haven’t tried these two Mustela products yet, but still wanted to share for those of you who are new mommas or in need of a product to fade existing stretch marks. If I end up testing either one I will definitely share my thoughts on my Instagram story!

EVERYDAY BODY MOISTURIZERS // Necessaire The Body Lotion | KORRES Sea Lavender Body Butter | Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream
All three of these body moisturizers are meant for anyone– not just expectant moms! I was already a fan of Korres Sea Lavender Body Butter and Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream prior to my pregnancy and have continued regularly using both! The Korres body butter is a great everyday all-over cream and has the most amazing light lavender scent. It also absorbs fast and contains primarily all natural ingredients.
If you’re prone to eczema flare ups like me, then I’d definitely encourage having Eucerin’s Eczema Relief Cream in your bodycare arsenal. I like to use this when my skin is extra dry and red. Necessaire The Body Lotion is a recent moisturizer find that I’ve really been enjoying. It’s fragrance-free, goes on super smooth and is packed with vitamins that support the health and natural pH of the skin.

PRE & POST-NATAL BODY MOISTURIZER // Kate McLeod Mama Stone (there are 6 different formulas— all with different purposes!)
The Kate McLeod Mama Stone definitely takes the title of the most unique pregnancy beauty product that I’ve tried. It looks like a solid bar of soap, but I promise it’s actually a moisturizer that you definitely only want to use outside of the bath or shower. To apply all you do is rub it against your skin and the bar “melts” on contact. It’s really cool and I love how it’s a 100% plant-based product that’s completely vegan, hypoallergenic and “clean.” My only complaint about this moisturizer is how fast it goes. When I first got it I was applying it everyday, but now I only use it sparingly because with daily full-body use I doubt it would last more than three weeks. I’ll likely end up using it more once baby boy is here!
