Nantucket | Navy Fit and Flare Dress at Galley Beach

Nantucket was everything I thought it would be and more. Nick and I sadly returned to New York last night after spending three magical days on New England’s most charming island. I can honestly say I’ve never traveled to anywhere like Nantucket before. This was definitely the first trip of many!

Our first evening was spent at Galley Beach, aka the best spot to watch the sunset on Nantucket. We made dinner reservations at the open-air beachfront restaurant and enjoyed cocktails and dinner as the sun went down for the evening. Everyone we spoke to warned us that Galley Beach Restaurant was expensive and boy, they were right. Our bill rivaled some of our pricier New York dinners, but I have to say it was totally worth the experience. We were really blessed with great weather on this trip and it was unbelievably refreshing sitting next to the beach as we ate!

I was told ahead of time that the vibe in Nantucket is pretty casual. I was a little worried I’d stick out wearing this fit & flat dress and blazer combo so I decided to skip heels and go with my trusty Jacks. Definitely a good decision! This ended up being one of my favorite looks of our trip.
