Nothing says summer quite like a classic blue and white checkered print and this Lilly Pulitzer gingham halter dress had my name all over it. The retail photos online honestly don’t do it justice. Based on the pictures I didn’t think I would like it, but as soon as I tried it on I knew it was meant to be.
The fit is so flattering— it cinches perfectly at the waist and the hem hits right above the knee. I also appreciate how the neckline doesn’t cut too low so you can wear a regular strapless bra. PS this is my favorite style for wearing underneath strappy tops and dresses!

Of course the biggest draw of the dress was the print. I like how it’s more of a fun play on a classic summer pattern as an alternative to the typical checkerboard gingham. Instead of navy, the blue hue is closer to indigo. Plus the stripes look as if they were painted with a watercolor paintbrush, as opposed to traditional solid lines. The best part about this print is you can find it on many more of Lilly Pulitzer’s summer styles including this camisole, these pants and yes: swimwear! Can someone please restrain me before I order everything??
