I think I’ve mentioned to you guys before that I only shop online. I feel terrible whenever someone asks me for New York shopping recommendations, because I honestly don’t have any beyond the obvious department stores and SoHo boutiques. Having to shop for clothing in-person is something I avoid at all costs.
The downsides of online shopping? Besides having to wait a few days for your package, product pictures can be super deceptive. There’s always a chance what you thought was something amazing looks and fits nothing like what you expected, or on the flip side you could potentially miss out on a great find just because it didn’t initially catch your eye on a screen. For me the pros 100% outweigh the cons. The time I can save in just a few clicks versus physically shlepping to a store is invaluable.

Okay so my point for sharing this is that I almost didn’t order these jogger pants and this t-shirt. I mean, both items are pretty basic and not necessarily things that jump out to you when there are hundreds of other pants and tops to choose from. I almost passed over them both, but the under $50 price tags and free shipping got me so I added them to my cart at the last second.

Well I’m glad I acted on that impulse because what a pleasant surprise! I had originally thought I would style these things casually, but I ended up really liking how the joggers paired with my favorite wedges (also under $100!) Having a few extra inches of height and adding some chic accessories like a leather handbag, definitely elevates the look into an outfit that’s weekday appropriate. I live in ensembles like this Monday through Friday when I’m running around to meetings and events!

Sharp and comfy! They remind me of my ’80s parachute cotton pants in camo dark green (no cute ankle ties, though). LIVED in them! With a white top, classic.
Totally agree with the shopping. I work across the street from a mall with Nordstrom, Saks and everything in between. Unless I get there at 10am and dash around (after online research), forget it.
Also enjoy yard sales which are convenient. Do they exist in NYC?
Thanks for another great post!!!

For some reason oversized clothes looks so stylish to me. I love that you used plane white tshirt. Lately cropped wide leg trousers became popular so Im loving them aswell, cos you can make them stylish with so little effort.
