I didn’t realize how much I’d missed wearing over the knee boots until I slipped on this pair from Nordstrom. Instantly I was reminded of all the reasons why I love the trend: 1) OTK boots instantly make you look taller, 2) they slim the legs, and 3) they can be so comfortable if you find the right pair. On days when the last thing I want to do is squeeze myself into a pair of jeans or leggings, flattering boots like these are my only solace.

Now that it’s officially pant weather in New York, I’ve been rocking my favorite boots like it’s nobody’s business. I’m also so pumped because it looks like the over the knee trend is here to stay. I mean, the selection at Nordstrom right now is AMAZING. Two years ago there were only a few brands (mostly designer) that were making them. Stuart Weitzman ring a bell? For a while I mulled over getting a pair ($798 isn’t easy to swallow) but then so many other lines began releasing similar styles with affordable price tags. Over the knee designer boot dupes? Count. Me. In.
Speaking of flattering… Can we discuss this top? I never imagined when I ordered it online (for only $29!) that I’d end up loving it as much as I do. The cinching hits right at the smallest part of the waistline for a super slimming effect. I mean, yes I’m already skinny, but not runway model thin aka how I feel in this shirt!
If you’re worried about over the knee boots slipping down your leg, then I suggest getting a pair that you can tie at the back of the thigh. You can also opt for a style with a structured shaft like this one.

So let’s talk about my pair of Marc Fisher over the knee boots. I’ve been getting a few questions on Instagram so here’s the scoop. I won’t lie to you. The $229 price tag is still a hefty chunk of change, BUT compared to designer versions that cost upwards of $750+ you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck. I also haven’t experienced any discomfort, chaffing or blisters, though keep in mind I’m not traipsing around the city in them. I only wear boots like these out to dinner and events where light walking is involved. The color? I went for dark grey (in some light these look taupe or even brown) because it matches with a range of beiges, tans and blacks.
Still searching for your own pair of dream over the knee boots? No matter your budget the options right now are endless. Check out the ones I rounded up below– you may just find your perfect match! xo
