How To Style A Plaid Blanket Wrap

Ever wondered how to style a plaid blanket wrap? There’s really not much to it. In my opinion it’s probably the easiest fall accessory to wear and instantly adds some seasonal color to any outfit. Though I’ll admit, growing up I always viewed wraps and capes as a dated accessory reserved for moms and grandmas– LOL!

I only considered wearing them myself once I moved to New York and began working in a corporate office. Bulky cardigans and sweatshirts don’t necessarily fall into the business casual category so layering with a chic wrap was the perfect solution to keeping warm in a chilly office.

I may look like I put in some effort here, but honestly all I did was throw on this cape over jeans and a t-shirt. Easy peasy! The icing on the cake? The one I’m wearing here was under $50! Talk about the perfect cozy budget buy.

If a traditional red, green and yellow plaid isn’t your thing, then I absolutely recommend this $39 black and white style instead. It’s the first plaid wrap I bought (I think 3 years ago?) and every fall it always gets restocked. But just in case here are a few more options for your browsing pleasure 🙂

No matter what route you go, it’s almost impossible to get it wrong when wearing a wrap. Outfits like this one have become one of my favorite fall uniforms for apple picking, weekend trips or even just running errands around the city. Speaking of all the #fallthings, have you checked out my Pinterest recently? I made an Autumn Inspo board where I’ve been pinning everything from travel ideas to recipes and more 🙂
