Is there more of a quintessential fall activity than visiting a farm and going apple picking? After living in New York for five years now (still can’t believe it!) I’ve gained such an appreciation for nature and the peace you can find away from the city. I definitely took it for granted growing up. Looking back my hometown in suburban Pennsylvania had the best of both worlds: easy accessibility to Philadelphia and New York, but also the option to do all the outdoor things. Many of my childhood weekends were spent hiking, swimming, visiting state parks and checking out any and every local historic attraction my mom could find.
^ These weatherproof boots (very reasonably priced) are my favorite to wear for any messy outdoor activity
I remember Autumn being such a fun season. The anticipation of going to corn mazes and pumpkin patches with my friends always took away some of the sting of having to head back to school. While the years have certainly passed and I’m now much closer to turning 30 than 21, the excitement about fall is still there.
Reach for the stars! Or the nearest apple… I think I could’ve used a steps tool here LOL. One of my favorite moments in New Hampshire was checking out Carter Hill Orchard with Sydney and Grace. The familiar crisp smells and the rows of stocky apple trees were a welcome change to what I experience at home in the concrete jungle. PS have you checked out my New Hampshire Travel Guide?
Similar Utility Vest | Similar Long Sleeve Shirt | Waterproof Boots | High Waist Leggings (these are my favorite!) | Sunglasses | Kate Spade New York Watch | David Yurman Bracelets
I always get a lot of questions any time I wear this green utility vest. It’s actually super old and a purchase I never thought I’d repeatedly feature here on the blog– funny how that happens! The items I always think aren’t “blog-worthy” end up being the ones you guys like the most 😛 While this exact style may not be available, there are a ton of nearly identical versions out now and all at affordable price tags. I love this vest because it’s an easy lightweight layering piece (perfect for those lingering warm days) and matches basically every hue in the fall color wheel. If you are at home today enjoying the day off thanks to the Columbus Day holiday, I wouldn’t blame you for indulging in a little retail therapy 🙂

What a cute outfit and such a quintessential fall activity! I always feel bad for my friends who don’t get to experience seasons like fall, but then I’m totally jealous when they’re in the pool, and I’m in a parka in December! haha!
