Suede Booties | White Wool Peacoat | Cableknit Sweater | Skinny Jeans | Saint Laurent Bag | Similar Sunglasses | Kate Spade Watch | David Yurman Bracelets
The first cold front of the season hit New York late last week and somehow I managed to pull together an outfit that was both warm and chic. When I see any temperature below 45 degrees my first instinct is to just throw on my big black puffer and not care how it pairs with whatever I’m wearing. It took a little resisting, but I’ve been telling myself since the fall that this year will be the one where I actually make an effort to look stylish in my coats. This outfit may be simple, but hey it’s a start! Maybe I can do this winter thing after all… What do you guys think?
So I want to talk about booties too! I picked up this new suede pair from Nordstrom because I realized I didn’t have a light-colored flat boot. I mean, there’s only so many times I can repeat these black booties right? I tested them out over the weekend and they passed my New York City-walkability test: no blisters and no soreness even after being on my feet for over an hour. It was really hard to choose a pair because Nordstrom has so many great options at wallet-friendly prices right now. I included a roundup below with my top picks!

I love the look, you styled that coat and booties perfectly! Marc Fisher makes some of my favorite boots but I like your other picks too.
