Last weekend was spent aboard the new Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas! Nick and I, along with a few of our pals, had an absolute blast experiencing the ship for a 2-night stay out to sea. You may remember last year, I went on my first Royal Caribbean cruise with my girlfriends to the Bahamas. It was so much fun, but it was quick! This time I’m happy that Nick was able to tag along with me (it was his birthday weekend) and we got to spend the entire time aboard the ship. We crammed so many fun activities into two days. It was an awesome whirlwind!
Indoor skydiving experience in the RipCord by iFly. It’s a lot harder then it looks, but Nick and I surprisingly were pretty good! Wish I had photos – no cameras allowed!
All guests had the opportunity to board the North Star: an observation capsule that takes you over 300 feet up into the air. Totally thrilling and scary at the same time!
My Nick ready for a day of adventure. He had the best time celebrating his 25th birthday with everyone on board!
Indoor Solarium sundeck. We spent a lot of time in the hot tubs and at the poolside bar!
Feeling cool wearing my media badge 😛
There’s no shortage of incredible and diverse dining options about the Anthem of the Seas. The food aboard the ship was the best I have ever had on a cruise! I seriously probably came back on Sunday ten pounds heavier…
Number one priority on board? Being comfortable! I packed my new Lilly Pulitzer puffer vest and long-sleeve tee to wear for Saturday’s activities. Leggings and espadrilles were also perfect for running around the ship.
The Bionic Bar was one of the COOLEST things I have ever seen or experienced. Yes, it’s a bar totally controlled by robot technology. You place your order on an iPad. Options include traditional drinks or you can completely customize your own and choose the ingredients and alcohol. I wish the photos could do it more justice!
View from our stateroom leaving the city. The ship went up the Hudson River and the views were absolutely incredible!
I have one more post from the trip that I’ll be sharing next week. Have you ever been on a Royal Caribbean cruise? Let me know in the comments!

Perfect birthday weekend celebrating his 25th year on this fantastic cruise. Happy belated birthday Nick!! IT looks as though you two had an exciting adventure. I have been on a few cruises in my
lifetime—but nothing this exciting.

My husband and I took a Caribbean cruise on the Oasis of the Seas last year and it was absolutely amazing!
We had both been on cruises before but they were nothing compared to how fantastic the Oasis was. We are Royal Caribbean customers for life now!

What an amazing experience! I’ve been on two Royal Caribbean cruises and loved both of them! I love that this one had an indoor sundeck. The last one I went on it was too cold to be outside because of the wind. The indoor sundeck would have been perfect for reading a book! I’m also highly intrigued by the bionic bar. What an cool concept. Thanks for sharing!
