My long weekend in Dallas was so busy I only had time to step out quickly to shoot this one look with my girl (and hotel roomie!) Kendall on Saturday. Hopefully I’ll have another excuse to visit again so I can explore the city more — wish I’d had more time!
I’ll be honest, I felt like a total Dallas housewife wearing this outfit. Not a bad thing, right? I’ve had this cropped Lilly Pulitzer pink tweed blazer for a few years now and it felt good to wear it again and get my money’s worth. I love how it looks paired with this navy scalloped dress! Any dress with pockets gets an A+ in my book and I could not recommend this one more for work.

I was wearing…
similar pink tweed blazer (mine is old Lilly Pulitzer) | Eliza J navy scallop dress c/o | Henri Bendel bag c/o | cage sandals | mirrored sunglasses | gold watch | David Yurman bracelets
I mentioned this last week, the reason I went to Dallas was for the annual rewardStyle Conference. It’s essentially an event for the online publishers who utilize rewardStyle to come together and attend educational sessions, listen to different speakers discuss the digital landscape and network with potential brand partners. It’s hard for me to believe this myself, but in my 5+ years of running Katie’s Bliss I’ve never attended a conference. As I continue to grow my site and my own personal brand, I’ve realized that I need to start taking advantage of the educational opportunities I’ve always pushed to the side. It’s really amazing how there are so many young women balancing two careers and on the flip side, many who have chosen to defy the norm and create their own path working for themselves. It really put things in perspective for me and I left Dallas feeling inspired and motivated as both a publicist and an entrepreneur. 🙂
Have any of you ever attended a conference? Anyone else balance multiple projects or jobs like me?
