I think spring might be my favorite season for fashion. It’s finally warm enough to ditch coats and tights, yet mild enough that I don’t need to worry about sweating buckets when I step out my door. There are literally some days in the summertime where my only concern when getting dressed is staying cool. The subway can get so so hot!
I’ve really been enjoying this spring in particular and have had a lot of fun putting together looks that are colorful, bright and true to my inner prep. Pastels and floral prints always grab my attention and somehow end up in my shopping cart. Anyone else?
I’ve had some great luck recently finding versatile tops and bottoms for under $100. Click through to see 3 casual spring outfit ideas incorporating core pieces that won’t break the bank!

While I’m always open to splurging on accessories, I try to be mindful of what I spend on actual clothing since trends constantly come and go. Maybe off shoulder tops will go out of style next year? (I hope not…) I’ve really been liking what I’m seeing from ASTR — the majority of pieces are under $75 and the quality is great. I love my pink tank (comes in blue too!) and floral top and short set!
Guys, I was also so proud of myself when I found this Lovers + Friends denim skater skirt for 50% off in the Revolve sale section. It’s still available in many sizes for just $49!
