Timeless Staples | Navy Fit & Flare Dress + Where I Get My Hair Done In NYC

Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to kick off the week with a dressed up classic look featuring some old and new favorites. This navy fit & flare dress is a recent addition to my closet– I’m in love with the full skirt and fitted waist. It’s so flattering on and pairs perfectly with nude pumps and a wool trench coat (mine is now on sale!)

Even though it was chilly when I shot these photos (don’t worry, my coat was off for only a second!) I still felt like a million bucks thanks to a much-needed hair cut and color. Isn’t it crazy how a visit to the salon can make you feel like a whole new woman?

I get a lot of questions asking where I get my hair done and I can’t speak highly enough of FOURTEENJAY in Tribeca. After trying a few different salons in a span of four years, it feels amazing to have finally found one where I leave completely satisfied both with the service and my result. I’m not very adventurous with my hair– I just know what works for me and I’m not interested in anything that would require daily styling or frequent color touchups. My biggest pet peeve with hairdressers is when they try and pressure you into getting something different. Not the case here!

I went in for my third visit earlier this month where I saw Michelle for color and Heather for a cut. Both are experts and truly listen–my hair has never felt healthier or looked more natural. They are also fast. I swear I’m always in and out in under three hours! Another reason I love FOURTEENJAY is because they use all Aveda color and styling products. It’s nice to know that what’s being applied to my hair is truly good for it and doesn’t contain damaging chemicals.
