navy velvet jumpsuit. I never thought that I’d need or want one in my closet, but now I don’t know how I lived so long without one in my life. Omg gals, this is the holiday party look to be rocking this season– I never want to put on a cocktail dress again! This jumpsuit really didn’t look like much on the website, but my friends at Eliza J assured me it would be stunning on and wow they were right.

No need to worry about chilly winter weather if you’re wearing this jumpsuit. It’s so warm and comfortable. Other pros include ‘swishy’ legs (I dunno how else to describe them) that would probably be perfect for hitting the dance floor and a tassel tie that cinches at the waist. Honestly it feels similar to onesie pajamas– just much chicer 😛 Sizing note: I’m 5’5″ and wearing a 4″ heel.

New York gals (or anyone planning a visit this month) you have to pop by the Ralph Lauren store on Madison Avenue to see the holiday decorations. This year they have the most gorgeous winter wonderland theme. I’m absolutely obsessed! The Upper East Side always knows how to embrace the holidays in the most elegant way.

^ I found the only pair of statement earrings you need for party season. These shimmery chandelier stunners pretty much match with anything and give you a good excuse to not have to worry about a necklace and bracelets.

See! There are other alternatives to cocktail dresses. So the next time you’re stuck trying to catch a cab or waiting for an Uber with bare legs in 30 degree weather just remember: YOU HAVE OPTIONS. I’m personally making a note to get out of my comfort zone more often– you never know you may just find your new favorite look! The holidays are also the perfect time to take a risk and be a lil extra 🙂
