Anyone else pumped that denim skirts are trending? I surprised myself during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale by how I drawn I was to this raw hem mini. It’s so much better than the super short, hip-hugging denim skirts that were in style during the early 2000s in my middle school days. You remember the ones that were sooo tight and skimpy you could barely bend over?
Well I’m happy to report this denim skirt is actually wearable (yes, for us adults!) thanks to a high-waist fit and mid-thigh length. Since it’s still too hot to wear jeans or long pants on a regular basis, I’ve been having a lot of pairing this skirt with some of my new tops and sweaters.
Denim Skirt (under $80!) | Wrap Sweater (under $60!) | Madewell Bucket Bag | Buckle Strap Suede Booties | Marc Jacobs Sunglasses| Statement Earrings | Similar Watch | David Yurman Bracelets
Who else loves a good wrap sweater top? Any shirt that’s as cozy as a sweater without the bulk gets an A+ in my book! This one comes in five different colors 🙂 Also can we talk about these statement earrings and this leather bucket bag?!
Denim Skirt (under $80!) | Dolman Sleeve Cardigan | White T-Shirt | Pink Tissue Scarf | Madewell Bucket Bag | Buckle Strap Suede Booties | Marc Jacobs Sunglasses | Similar Watch | David Yurman Bracelets
Here I spiced up my denim skirt and a plain white tee with a dolman sleeve cardigan (also avail in beige & black!) and a lightweight scarf. How cute would this look be for back to school? I would’ve rocked it to class FOR SURE.
Denim Skirt (under $80!) | Flared Sleeve Blouse | Pink Colorblock Blanket Scarf | Faux Leather Tote | Buckle Strap Suede Booties | Marc Jacobs Sunglasses | Similar Watch | David Yurman Bracelets
Too soon for blanket scarves? Okay I’ll admit that I threw this pink colorblock one on for the photo, but I reallyyyy wanted to show you gals! Underneath the scarf I just have on a flared-sleeve blouse and instead of my bucket bag, I opted for this faux leather zip tote. It’s SO spacious!
So what’s the verdict? Do you think denim are here to stay?
Big thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!

I love all three looks! Simple and pretty. I think the first is my favorite with those statement earrings. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of my denim skirt this summer and have been on the hunt for a black denim skirt for the fall. It’s been a tough hunt though because I’m petite and a lot of skirts are longer or flare out. But I’m still hunting. It’s almost time to hunt for corduroy skirts too!

A denim skirt has probably been one of my favorite trends this summer, and I love the one you’re wearing! So happy they came back a little bit longer and less tight this time around 😉

Great work! You are so talented and have great taste! I love wearing denim skirts but I always struggle to make combinations with it. Now I have some great ideas through your article. Thanks for sharing and please keep sharing. https://www.hancockssignetrings.com/pendants
