Kate Spade New York Stripes

Happy Valentine’s Day my friends! Whether you’re celebrating with your boo, your gal pals or completely ignoring the cheesiest faux holiday ever, I am sending all the red rose and chocolate vibes your way. Unsurprisingly Nick and I don’t have any special plans tonight nor did we get each other gifts.

We’ve actually never celebrated Valentine’s Day in our 8+ years of dating– we were so poor in college and our first years living in New York that we both always agreed it wasn’t worth it to spend the money. At the end of day we’d both choose a night hanging on the couch watching Netflix over going out for some expensive romantic dinner, so safe to say that’s probably what we’ll be doing tonight.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Kate Spade New York Fall 2018 presentation at New York Fashion Week and as you can see I gladly used the occasion to debut a few new Kate Spade things in my closet. If you didn’t catch my snaps on Insta Story, get excited for a collection with Western elements that’s reminiscent of a very chic Little House on the Prairie– lots of denim, cow-prints and leather. All the clothing will be in stores this fall!

Another fun aspect from the presentation was seeing all the models wearing Kate Spade smartwatches! Check out my wrist for a peek at one in action. It’s a little hard to tell from the pictures, but the watch is touchscreen and has a ton of features that go way beyond just telling you the time. I can track my steps, read text messages and emails, get calendar notifications, see that someone is calling me, check the weather and more! You wouldn’t necessarily associate a smartwatch with being stylish, but Kate Spade is clearly stepping up the wearable tech game. Cool right?
