Anywhere you look online, it’s clear that the retail world has pretty much embraced all things spring. I don’t mind it, but it’s tough because a lot of what’s in stores right now I just can’t wear. I got the cutest off shoulder stripe blouse in the mail a few days ago and I think I’m going to have to wait at least another month before it makes sense to wear outside.
So what can you buy and wear now that’s not a sweater or heavy coat? Well I literally jumped for joy when I stumbled across this faux suede drape jacket. I was skeptical that the quality wouldn’t match how nice it looked online, but I decided to give it a shot and clicked add to cart. You can’t beat that under $100 price tag!
Faux Suede Drape Jacket (under $100!) | Skinny Jeans (under $100!) | White Blouse | Saint Laurent Small Sac de Jour | Christian Louboutin Pumps (here’s a similar affordable style) | Raen Sunglasses c/o | Michele Watch | David Yurman Bracelets
When it arrived in the mail I was very pleasantly surprised by the soft buttery fabric and flattering fit. Sometimes faux suede can wrinkle really easily and just feel cheap, but that’s totally not the case with this jacket. You can actually wear it two ways– open like you see it on me here and then zipped up to the neck. I need to do a better job of remembering the value of transitional jackets and layering pieces. I have a ton of sweaters and big bulky coats, but often I forget just how useful lighter outerwear can be during this time of the year. I’m really excited to continue styling this jacket in the coming months– definitely a spring must-have in my book. xo
