Phew this weekend was hot! I almost turned back into my building once I stepped outside wearing these pants. Good thing I only had to be out for a few minutes while we walked to dinner or else I wouldn’t have made it. We’re getting close to those dogs days of summer… Remember this bag? Blah blah blah I’m sure at this point ya’ll are sick of hearing bloggers talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but I’m coming to you today as a real life working girl okay? In my opinion I feel like the only benefit these “OMG once in a lifetime sales” bring is the opportunity to invest in a wardrobe staple you would never over-wise be able to find on sale. Philip Lim satchel? Tory Burch wallet anyone?
If there’s any place that can compete with the West Village when it comes to charm and character, it’s most definitely Georgetown. I enjoyed Georgetown when we visited last summer despite the sweltering heat (see the post here) but this time I fell in love even more. In just a matter of a few small blocks there’s every store you could want to shop at, great restaurants, cute little cobblestone streets lined with town
