Can I get a drumroll please??? I’m beyond excited to show you guys the second half of our New York City apartment tour featuring our bedroom and bathroom! If you watched Part 1 of the tour, you’ll notice the decor in our bedroom is very different from the Scandinavian-style design and neutral color palette seen in our living room. While our living room has undergone a big makeover since we originally moved in three years ago, our bedroom furniture and decor has pretty much remained un-changed. It’s kind of my happy place and I love how it’s so cozy and colorful. Give the video a watch and you’ll see what I mean!

Wall Art (it’s the largest size canvas) | Bed Frame (we have a queen) | Bedding | Pink Sham Pillows | Leopard Pillows | Velvet Pillow Covers | Tassel Throw Pillow | Faux Fur Pillow | Faux Fur Throw Blanket | Pom Pom Throw Blanket | White Tray | Similar Curtains | Shearling Rug (on floor next to bed)
I think if there’s one room you can get away with being a little extra when decorating it’s the bedroom and as you can see ours is full of bright colors, patterns, lush fabrics and metallic elements. The one question I get asked the most it’s where I found the wall art over our bed. It’s actually an Oliver Gal print that comes in multiple sizes (ours is the largest) — I found it in stock here. Since we have such a vibrant bed frame (it’s a bright navy in a velvet finish) I decided to keep our bedding simple. Almost everything is from Pottery Barn, but my pillows and blankets have been collected over the years from a variety of different stores.
Shoe Wall Shelving (total small space lifesaver) | White Dresser | Framed Photo Art (on dresser) | Mirror (antique– on dresser) | Perfume Tray (antique) | Saint Laurent Bag
Do you think I have enough shoes? HAH. Clearly my shoe wall is P A C K E D and could probably use a good purge. For details on how Nick built it for me check out this post here. It was surprisingly easy and inexpensive!
Infinity Mirror | Rebecca Taylor Dress c/o | Pink Espadrille Wedges | Nude Sandals
I’m obsessed with this infinity mirror and love how it open up the room making it feel much larger! You guys may recognize it from Instagram because it’s where I take all my bedroom #ootd photos 😛
Living in a small apartment (I think our place is 700 sq ft) you have to be creative with storage– especially if you have a lot of clothing and accessories. My closet organization isn’t perfect or the most beautiful setup, but I think we’ve done a great job creating solutions in the space we have without spending a significant amount of money. I’m sure one day I’ll have a house with a beautiful walk-in closet, but until then this works for us 🙂
Garment Rack | Bedside Tables | Bedside Lamps | Alarm Clock | Vanity Desk | Vanity Mirror | Desk Chair | Acrylic Makeup Storage Drawers | Garment Rack
I hope you guys enjoyed getting a peek into my home! This tour has been a long time coming and I hope I was able to answer some of the common questions you’re always asking me and maybe give those of you who live the apartment life a little decor inspo. If there’s anything I forget to mention please feel free to leave me a comment and if you didn’t see our Living Room & Kitchen Tour make sure you check it out here. xo

I love the shoe wall! It’s such a smart use of space, and I personally love getting to look at shoes! That mirror is great too, we don’t have a full length mirror and it’s a problem. I wasn’t sure where to hang one, but leaning it against the wall is such a good idea! Thanks! xAllie http://www.theallthatglittersblog.com

I just love your shoe wall! In my next house I hope to have a huge walk in closet with my shoes on display like that. Shoes and bags are art and need to be displayed!

Katie, I always wondered how you managed to fit your clothes and shoes into a small apartment. Now I know. Thank you for opening up your home to us. Please keep continuing to ‘inspire’ us.

ORGANIZATION! You certainly have done a great job!
It makes your life so much less stressful when everything is in the proper place and you can quickly put your fingers on it.

Saw on your insta stories a little while back what you use for storage of off season clothes. Would you mind sharing which space saver bags you use?? Thanks!

Hi! I also live in NYC and love opening the curtains for light but want to maintain my privacy. Just wondering if that is a privacy film on your windows? Thanks!
