Apartment Tour | Bedroom Furniture & Decor

Let me introduce you to our bedroom! It may be small, but it sure is cozy!

This bedroom is actually the smaller of the two bedrooms in our apartment. We chose to use it as our master because for a few reasons. 1) It has in-room access to our second full bathroom and 2) We felt the extra square footage in our additional bedroom would be better used by me and soon baby boy 🙂

In terms of decor and furnishings, we wanted to keep the vibe of the room very peaceful and airy. Since it is a tiny space we opted for bedding in light shades of grey, white and pale pink (yes my husband is A-OK with pink!) and a handwoven tan and gold hemp rug — all from Serena & Lilly.

We also ditched any oversized furniture from our last apartment in favor of functional pieces that wouldn’t overwhelm and box in the room like this brass bed frame, modernist dresser, wood end table and upholstered chair.

We had debated doing a statement wallpaper behind the bed frame, but decided it wasn’t worth the effort given most of it would’ve been hidden by our bed frame. Instead we decorated with this gold-toned botanical statement piece and a black & white gallery wall of our wedding photos that I made myself. It was super simple to do using these inexpensive gold frames and I love how it turned out!
