While you guys have seen my living room and bedroom many times, there’s one area of my apartment that I’ve (literally) always kept behind closed doors: my bathroom hallway closet. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with this space ever since we moved into our apartment a little over three years ago. On the one hand, it’s prime extra storage space aka a very hot commodity if you live in a big city where closets aren’t known for being spacious.
So why the hate? Well, the reason it’s been such a source of frustration is because I’ve never been able to figure out an organizational system that works. This closet is responsible for storing a variety of our belongings like bedding, towels, toiletries, cleaning products, as well some of my handbags, sweaters and tops. SO yeah, lots of stuff in lots of different shapes and sizes.

I had basically given up on keeping the closet tidy (just imagine clothing and products spilling off the shelves—it was so embarrassing!!) until Bed Bath & Beyond decided to come to my rescue by introducing me to their exclusive .ORG product line. Think storage boxes, bins, baskets, shelf dividers, cabinet and drawer organizers—all things you can utilize in any room of your home! There are products that I didn’t even think existed… An over-the-door cabinet caddy? I don’t know how I lived my life without one!

One of the great aspects of the Bed Bath & Beyond .ORG collection is the affordable price. I mean, nobody wants to spend an arm and a leg on home storage accessories. These are things that are meant to make your life easier, not put you in debt. I was happy to find that almost all .ORG products were priced under $20.

Okay so the bathroom! Similar to the hall closet, our cabinet under the sink had been severely neglected. Again, it was a case of shoving as many things as possible and then crossing my fingers that the doors would stay closed. As you can see that’s no longer the case thanks to this handy under the sink mesh slide-out cabinet drawer and my now beloved over-the-door styling caddy.

I also replaced our gross rusted shower organizer with this .ORG caddy made from rustproof aluminum. SCORE.

Obviously when you shop at Bed Bath & Beyond you know you’re always going to find way more than you originally intended. I was feelin’ the spirit of home improvement and couldn’t resist picking up new Turkish cotton towels, bath mats, counter accessories, trash can, toilet lid cover and shower curtain. What do you guys think??

I can’t tell you guys how good it feels finally having my closet and bathroom organized!! These had turned into such eyesores and definitely put a damper on how I felt about my apartment. Every ounce of square footage matters when you live in a small home and I’m pumped that everything now has a place and that the space is being used productively. Now let’s just hope I can keep it all looking as pretty as it does now in the pictures! 😛
Big thank you to Bed Bath & Beyond for sponsoring this post!

Stellar storage! Must have the small step stool! Under bathroom (and kitchen) sinks are the worst for storing. Great ideas for maximizing space. They’re starting to sell vanities with drawers or sliding doors for smaller spaces.
Happy Monday!

Love this post! It’s so inspiring that all I want to do is go home and start organizing my closets! 🙂 The way you organized your hair dryer, straightener, and curling iron is super smart. I should do the same as I have so many cords flying around everywhere.

What a transformation! I love it all. I’m going to steal your idea of the birch logs, bringing nature indoors and no watering.
