It’s finally starting to feel like summer in New York! About. Damn. Time. Is it me or did it take forever to warm up this year? Now that my schedule has calmed down I’ve been making every effort to get out and explore the city. Recognize where I am? Oh the West Village.
This neighborhood will always have a special spot in my heart thanks to my first few years as a big apple resident. It was hard to appreciate it at the time since I was working such long hours, basically broke, and our apartment was so small. But looking back I feel so grateful– I mean streets like this were right outside my door! Now whenever I return to try a new restaurant, grab drinks or just to amble the streets snapping pics of all the dreamy townhouses, it’s a great reminder of my introduction to the city.
Lemon Print Cocktail Dress | Woven Tote Bag (under $80!) | Braided Sandals (under $100!) | Straw Boater Hat |
Kendra Scott Cuff c/o | Gold Watch
Now let’s talk about this lemon print cocktail dress! It’s been a while since anything other than stripes, florals or a Lilly print has caught my eye. I’m also always wary about pieces with food prints just because they can look childish, but I think this dress doesn’t have that issue. I love the camisole style and the tie at the bust. I feel like I should be wearing it in Positano or the south of France but for now the West Village will have to suffice. 😛
